The educational and professional program “Computer Engineering” of the first (bachelor’s) level of higher education is implemented in department of computer systems and networks of Faculty of Information Technology IFNTUOG, specializing in F7 “Computer Engineering” in the field of “Information Technology.” The department was established in 2004 and awards bachelor’s and master’s degrees in this specialty. The program is accredited by the National Agency for Quality Assurance in Higher Education of Ukraine.

Admission Conditions and Forms of Study

Admission is conducted for full-time and part-time (distance) study programs based on complete secondary education, as well as for shortened study periods for holders of a junior specialist diploma.

The standard duration of study is 3 years and 10 months based on basic higher education or 2 years and 10 months based on a junior specialist diploma.

Admission quota: 50 full-time students and 30 part-time students.

Educational Content

The program combines strong fundamental training with practical-oriented disciplines. The curriculum covers mathematics and physics, algorithm theory and programming, computer and microcontroller architecture, computer networks and telecommunications, system and application software, databases, computer graphics, digital circuitry, IoT technologies, as well as disciplines in information systems security. The elective part allows students to deepen their training in areas that correspond to their career goals.

The program is constantly updated based on student surveys and feedback from department partners in the IT industry. The department actively collaborates with international universities: within the framework of the Erasmus+ KA2 “EduRob” project, there is an exchange of experience with Graz University of Technology (TU Graz, Austria) in the field of robotics and digital education.

The Department of Computer Systems and Networks participates in Erasmus+ projects and maintains partnerships with leading technical universities in Austria and Estonia. Students have the opportunity to engage in international educational and research initiatives, gaining experience in an international academic environment.
