On May 28, 2026, the XIII Newfolk NTC International Oil and Gas Conference “Coiled Tubing. Hydraulic Fracturing. Drilling Services. Geology and Geophysics” began in Lviv—one of the largest professional platforms in the Ukrainian upstream sector, bringing together representatives of extraction companies, service businesses, international partners, and technical higher education institutions.
For two days, participants discuss modern technologies for increasing hydrocarbon production, drilling services, geology, geophysics, energy challenges, and industry development prospects. This year, the Conference is attended by over 70 companies and more than 30 top speakers.
Among the participants of the event are executives and representatives from Naftogaz of Ukraine, Orlen, Ukrgasvydobuvannya JSC, Ukrnafta PJSC, Gas Transmission System Operator of Ukraine LLC, Baker Hughes, Weatherford, SLB, and other leading players in the oil and gas market.
The Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas is represented at the Conference by the Rector Ihor Chudyk, Vice-Rector for Research Oleksandr Kondrat, Professor of the Department of Well Drilling Oleh Vytyaz and associate professor of the Department of Environmental Protection Technology and Occupational Safety Andrii Kotsiubynskyi.
University representatives participated in professional discussions dedicated to modern technologies for extraction intensification, energy development, implementation of innovative solutions, and prospects of renewable and alternative energy sources.
Within the framework of the Conference, the rector of IFNTUNG Ihor Chudyk delivered a report titled “New Opportunities of IFNTUNG for Partners and the State,” presenting the university’s potential in the field of specialist training, scientific research, and cooperation with the energy sector.
The conference also includes professional sessions, thematic workshops, and panel discussions, creating a space for experience exchange, professional dialogue, and the formation of new partnerships in the oil and gas sector.
Thanks to such interaction between science, education, and business, IFNTUNG continues to strengthen the university’s role as a key partner in the oil and gas industry in training specialists, implementing innovations, and shaping the future of Ukraine’s energy sector.
