For third-year students of the educational program “Renewable Energy Engineering” at the Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas, a special stage of training begins next week—a hands-on industrial internship in the installation, setup, and commissioning of photovoltaic power stations.
Practice will last for four weeks and take place at the university’s educational and production laboratory. Its feature will be the maximum immersion of students in real production processes: future engineers will work with modern equipment, perform current technical tasks, and hone skills that are directly demanded by employers in the field of renewable energy today.
At the university, it is emphasized: this practice is unique for Ukrainian higher education institutions, as it combines theoretical training with full-fledged work on real equipment and modern components used in industrial solar facilities.
On the eve of the practice start, the educational and production laboratory received significant support from the co-owner of SUNSAY Energy company.Oleksandra Buta, who provided modern charge controllers, solar cable, optimizers for solar panels, cable terminals, and large cross-section cable samples for the educational process.
The received equipment will allow students to work with technologies and components actively used in modern solar energy, enabling them to gain practical experience during their studies that closely mirrors the real conditions of professional activity.
IFNTUNG expresses sincere gratitude to Oleksandr But and SUNSAY Energy for supporting the educational program, developing the material and technical base, and contributing to the training of practical specialists who will soon participate in the reconstruction and modernization of Ukraine’s energy system.
Ahead for the students are four weeks of intensive work, new challenges, and invaluable professional experience.
