The laboratory is used for conducting educational activities, completing qualification works for higher education students, preparing postgraduates, and implementing research projects in the field of metal corrosion protection.<br><br>One of the key areas of the laboratory&#8217;s work is the synthesis of new organic corrosion inhibitors based on nitrogen-containing compounds. The research studies the patterns of synthesis, structure, and physicochemical properties of the obtained substances, as well as their ability to form protective adsorption films on metal surfaces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>An important area of the laboratory&#8217;s activity is the research of green corrosion inhibitors derived from plant raw materials. For this purpose, organic compounds are extracted from various types of plants using modern extraction and purification methods. The obtained extracts are studied for their ability to reduce the rate of corrosion processes in acidic, neutral, and saline environments.<br><br>To evaluate the effectiveness of synthesized and natural inhibitors, model corrosive environments are created in the laboratory to simulate the operating conditions of metals in industry, the oil and gas complex, and transportation infrastructure. Independently prepared corrosive environments allow the study of the impact of acidity, mineralization, temperature, and concentration of aggressive components on the corrosion rate and the effectiveness of inhibitor protection.<br><br>The laboratory is equipped with the necessary chemical and general laboratory equipment for conducting organic synthesis, extraction, purification, and analysis of substances.
