The laboratory is unparalleled in Ukraine for practical training in the installation and commissioning of photovoltaic stations.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"511\" height=\"340\" src=\"https:\/\/discover.nung.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2026\/06\/image-46.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-192\" srcset=\"https:\/\/discover.nung.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2026\/06\/image-46.png 511w, https:\/\/discover.nung.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2026\/06\/image-46-300x200.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 511px) 100vw, 511px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Learning Concept<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Preparation in the laboratory is based on the principle that &#8220;an engineer should be able to do everything that a technician can do.&#8221; More than 60% of study time is allocated to practice \u2014 students gain real working qualifications, making them competitive in the job market. Practical skills are reinforced during the summer industrial practice, which is a mandatory part of the &#8220;Renewable Energy Engineering&#8221; educational program.<br><\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"428\" height=\"321\" src=\"https:\/\/discover.nung.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2026\/06\/image-47.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-193\" srcset=\"https:\/\/discover.nung.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2026\/06\/image-47.png 428w, https:\/\/discover.nung.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2026\/06\/image-47-300x225.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 428px) 100vw, 428px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Training Program<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In the laboratory, students learn the full cycle of work with photovoltaic stations:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Mechanical installation of supporting structures and equipment for photovoltaic power plants.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Electrical installation of PV equipment and systems, assembly of AC and DC panels, and electricity metering panels.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Measurement and control of PV plant parameters according to the EN 62446 standard, including insulation resistance, leakage resistance, and grounding device transition resistances.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Configuration of grid-tied and standalone inverters, charge controllers, commercial accounting systems, and remote monitoring.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Commissioning of the PV plant, checking the operation of grid-tied and hybrid stations, assessment of shading impact on energy production.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Laboratory Equipment<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>FRONIUS Network Photovoltaic Inverters<\/strong> (Austria) \u2014 a leading brand in the field of solar energy, used in most industrial PV projects in Europe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Autonomous Solar Power System Kits Victron Energy<\/strong> (Netherlands) \u2014 equipment from a world leader in autonomous power systems: inverters, MPPT charge controllers, lead-acid and lithium iron phosphate batteries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Mounting Systems for Photovoltaic Modules Kripter<\/strong> (Ukraine) \u2014 allow mastering the mechanical installation of panels on roof and ground structures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>ETI PV Protection Equipment<\/strong> (Slovenia) \u2014 industrial protection means for photovoltaic installations against overloads, short circuits, and atmospheric overvoltages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Information and Measurement Complex Seward PV150<\/strong>( United Kingdom) \u2014 a specialized device for performing a full range of measurements and monitoring of PV systems in accordance with the international standard IEC 62446:2009.
