The laboratory is equipped with chromatographic equipment of various classes \u2014 from stationary analytical to field logging \u2014 which allows covering the full cycle of gas geochemical research: from sampling in the well to precise quantitative analysis of the composition of hydrocarbon gases in laboratory conditions.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"706\" src=\"https:\/\/discover.nung.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2026\/06\/image-64-1024x706.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-221\" srcset=\"https:\/\/discover.nung.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2026\/06\/image-64-1024x706.png 1024w, https:\/\/discover.nung.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2026\/06\/image-64-300x207.png 300w, https:\/\/discover.nung.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2026\/06\/image-64-768x529.png 768w, https:\/\/discover.nung.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2026\/06\/image-64.png 1280w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Laboratory Equipment<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Gas Chromatograph NeoCHROM<\/strong> \u2014 a stationary laboratory device for analyzing complex multicomponent mixtures of organic and inorganic compounds. The operating principle is based on gas adsorption and gas-liquid chromatography methods in isothermal mode and temperature programming mode of analytical columns. The device is equipped with several types of detectors depending on the analysis task:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Flame Ionization Detector (FID)<\/strong> \u2014 the most common in gas chromatography, reacts to any molecule with a hydrocarbon bond, and is a primary tool for analyzing hydrocarbon gases of oil and gas origin.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Thermionic detector<\/strong> \u2014 applied for the determination of nitrogen- and phosphorus-containing compounds in complex gaseous matrices.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Electron Capture Detector<\/strong> \u2014 provides for the determination of trace amounts of halogen-containing and nitro-containing compounds.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Thermal Conductivity Detector<\/strong> \u2014 universal detector for permanent gases and inorganic compounds.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The scope of application of the chromatograph includes monitoring the composition of hydrocarbon gases in the petrochemical and gas industries, environmental monitoring of air, water, and soils, assessment of gas pollution and sanitary-hygienic control of industrial facilities, as well as scientific research in the field of gas-geochemical profiling.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"577\" src=\"https:\/\/discover.nung.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2026\/06\/image-66-1024x577.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-223\" srcset=\"https:\/\/discover.nung.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2026\/06\/image-66-1024x577.png 1024w, https:\/\/discover.nung.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2026\/06\/image-66-300x169.png 300w, https:\/\/discover.nung.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2026\/06\/image-66-768x433.png 768w, https:\/\/discover.nung.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2026\/06\/image-66.png 1280w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p><strong>Chromatograph &#8220;Chromoplast&#8221;<\/strong> &#8211; specialized field instrument for conducting gas logging during the drilling of oil and gas wells. Operates under the control of the &#8220;ChromIO&#8221; program and enables real-time continuous determination of the component composition of hydrocarbon gases in the drilling fluid emerging from the well. The instrument identifies and quantitatively determines: hydrogen, methane, ethane, propane, isobutane, butane, isopentane, and pentane, with the possibility of extending the range to hexane. The sampling of the analyzed gas occurs automatically according to a specified cycle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The &#8220;ChromIO&#8221; software performs a full cycle of analytical operations: analysis of the gas mixture, instrument setup and calibration, real-time chromatogram display, data transmission to the information collection system, and report generation based on calibration results. Gas logging data is the basis for assessing the oil and gas potential of penetrated formations and making operational decisions during drilling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Chromatograph &#8220;Chrom-5&#8221;<\/strong> applied to determine the component composition of gas-air mixtures.
