The Digital Engineering Center of the Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas is a modern innovative space aimed at becoming a hub for the development of engineering education, science, and next-generation technologies. The center was established within the framework of an international project ATEd\u00a0according to the program\u00a0Interreg VI-A NEXT Romania\u2013Ukraine<\/strong>\u2014 another confirmation of the university’s active integration into the European educational and scientific space.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The key role in the implementation of the project was played by Institute of Engineering Mechanics and Robotics<\/strong> of \u0406FNTUOG, which consistently develops modern areas of specialist training in mechanical engineering, automation, digital design, and industrial robotics. It is precisely on the institute’s basis that the Center has become a powerful platform for practical training, scientific research, professional training, and the implementation of innovative student and faculty initiatives.<\/p>\n\n\n

Infrastructure of the Center<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Class of Digital Modeling and Engineering Design<\/strong> equipped with specialized software for creating and analyzing modern technical solutions. Here, students master computer design methods, numerical modeling, and digital twins\u2014competencies that form the foundation of modern engineering and are essential for working in digital manufacturing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Training Laboratory of Machine Tools<\/strong> provides students with the opportunity to gain practical skills in working with modern production equipment. The combination of digital design in the classroom with actual machine processing in the laboratory ensures a complete training cycle \u2014 from a three-dimensional model to a finished part.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Laboratory of Industrial Robotics<\/strong> opens up new opportunities for studying automated systems, robotic complexes, and intelligent manufacturing. Industrial robotics is one of the key areas of Industry 4.0, and practical skills in working with robotic systems are becoming an increasingly important competitive advantage for mechanical engineers and automation specialists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mission and Values<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Center for Digital Engineering is not only a new stage in the development of IFNTUOG but also a significant contribution to the training of competitive engineers capable of working under the conditions of digital transformation in industry and implementing innovative solutions for the reconstruction and development of Ukraine. The center is open to students, faculty, and representatives of business and the community\u2014everyone who aims to master digital manufacturing technologies or realize their own engineering ideas.<\/p>\n\n\n

The implementation of the ATEd project in partnership with Romanian colleagues confirms the university’s strategic course towards integration into the European scientific and educational space and demonstrates that even in wartime conditions, IFNTUOG continues to invest in the future of Ukrainian engineering education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
