The program is implemented by <strong>Department of Oil and Gas Production<\/strong> in Institute of Oil and Gas Engineering IFNTUOG in the specialty &#8220;Oil and Gas Engineering and Technology&#8221;. A significant portion of the fields are in a declining stage of development and require new innovative approaches to increase hydrocarbon extraction. At the same time, there remains a large untapped potential: deposits at depths of over 6,000 meters, low-permeability reservoirs, unexplored reserves of the Carpathian region, and the Black Sea shelf. Key partners include JSC &#8220;Ukrgasvydobuvannya&#8221; and other leading oil and gas companies in Ukraine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Languages of Instruction<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Ukrainian language of instruction<\/strong> \u2014 full-time and part-time forms.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>English Language of Instruction<\/strong> \u2014 full-time form. The curriculum in English fully corresponds to the content of the Ukrainian-language program and prepares specialists for work in an international environment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Curriculum Content<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The master&#8217;s program focuses on design and management \u2014 students master not only production operations but also system engineering design of extraction processes and deposit development based on modern digital tools.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Compulsory courses of the program cover the following areas:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Design of field development:<\/strong> project design for oil field development; design of gas and gas condensate field development; evaluation of field development efficiency.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Digital Modeling:<\/strong> hydrodynamic modeling of processes in the field of oil and gas engineering using leading simulators (Eclipse, Petrel, etc.).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Design of Well Operation:<\/strong> design of oil well operation; design of gas and gas condensate well operation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Industrial Systems:<\/strong> design of systems for collection and preparation of oil and gas industry products; technical systems and technologies in the oil and gas sector.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Management and Security:<\/strong> methodology of scientific research; occupational safety in the field; business communication and professional terminology in a foreign language.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Elective Courses<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Students independently choose part of the curriculum from the departmental catalog of specialized blocks to deepen professional competencies, as well as disciplines from the general university catalog (9 credits, from the 2nd semester) through the electronic cabinet of the &#8220;Decanat+&#8221; system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Master&#8217;s Thesis<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Final stage of study involves completion and defense <strong>master&#8217;s thesis<\/strong>\u2014 independent engineering research that typically addresses a specific production or scientific task in the field of development and operation of oil and gas fields. This is preceded by pre-diploma practice at industry enterprises.
