This is one of the most dynamic sectors of the modern economy, where demand for qualified engineers consistently exceeds supply. Computer networks and systems are used today in all sectors of the national economy\u2014from industry and energy to medicine and education\u2014making computer engineers valuable specialists in any field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Preparation at the Department of Computer Systems and Networks provides a level of fundamental, professionally-oriented, and specialized training that enables graduates to quickly adapt to the job market and find employment in one of the most dynamic sectors\u2014computer, network, and information technologies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What a Graduate Can Do<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Level of preparation for a Bachelor&#8217;s in Computer Engineering allows one to independently:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>design and develop hardware and software at the level of individual components and nodes, as well as at the structural-system level;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>develop universal and specialized computers and computer networks;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>design specialized microprocessor and microcontroller devices;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>develop Back-end and Front-end software;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>design IoT (Internet of Things) components;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>develop applied and specialized software.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Where Graduates Work<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the industry standard of higher education in Ukraine, graduates of the CSM department may hold the following positions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>computer systems engineer;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>software engineer;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>computer software engineer;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>electronics engineer;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>systems engineer;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>administrator of the computing system;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>computer graphics specialist;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Computer Center Technician.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Admission Conditions and Forms of Study<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Admission is conducted for full-time and part-time (distance) study programs based on complete secondary education, as well as for shortened study periods for holders of a junior specialist diploma.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The standard duration of study is 3 years and 10 months based on basic higher education or 2 years and 10 months based on a junior specialist diploma.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Admission quota: 50 full-time students and 30 part-time students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Educational Content<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The program combines strong fundamental training with practical-oriented disciplines. The curriculum covers mathematics and physics, algorithm theory and programming, computer and microcontroller architecture, computer networks and telecommunications, system and application software, databases, computer graphics, digital circuitry, IoT technologies, as well as disciplines in information systems security. The elective part allows students to deepen their training in areas that correspond to their career goals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The program is constantly updated based on student surveys and feedback from department partners in the IT industry. The department actively collaborates with international universities: within the framework of the Erasmus+ KA2 &#8220;EduRob&#8221; project, there is an exchange of experience with Graz University of Technology (TU Graz, Austria) in the field of robotics and digital education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">International Activities of the Department<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Department of Computer Systems and Networks participates in Erasmus+ projects and maintains partnerships with leading technical universities in Austria and Estonia.
