The program is interdisciplinary and simultaneously covers two specialties: <strong>G3 &#8220;Electrical Engineering&#8221;<\/strong> and <strong>G6 &#8220;Information and Measurement Technologies&#8221;<\/strong> \u2014 a unique combination that shapes a new generation specialist at the intersection of engineering, measurement, and energy management.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1000\" height=\"560\" src=\"https:\/\/discover.nung.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2026\/06\/image-100.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-295\" srcset=\"https:\/\/discover.nung.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2026\/06\/image-100.png 1000w, https:\/\/discover.nung.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2026\/06\/image-100-300x168.png 300w, https:\/\/discover.nung.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2026\/06\/image-100-768x430.png 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Relevance of the Program<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Increasing energy efficiency is one of the key priorities in the reconstruction and development of Ukraine. No enterprise, building, or industrial facility can be competitive without a systematic approach to energy resource management. At the same time, modern energy efficiency is not just about insulating buildings but encompasses a range of digital technologies: monitoring and measurement systems, computer modeling, project management, and attracting international funding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is precisely this systemic view that forms the &#8220;Energy Efficient Technologies&#8221; program \u2014 at the intersection of electrical engineering, measurement systems, and management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What students study<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The curriculum includes compulsory courses in three areas:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>General Preparation:<\/strong> business communication and professional terminology in a foreign language; energy planning and finance; sustainable development and engineering education.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Technical block:<\/strong> design, operation, and management of power supply systems; measurement of energy parameters of technical objects; information and measurement support for technical diagnostics; computer modeling and simulation of energy complexes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Management Block:<\/strong> energy monitoring and management systems; energy-efficient technologies; fundraising and project management; research methodology.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The elective component allows students to deepen their training from the departmental and university-wide catalogs in accordance with individual career goals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Uniqueness of the Program<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Combining two specialties in one program provides graduates with a significantly broader range of competencies than a regular master&#8217;s degree in electrical engineering or metrology alone. A specialist in &#8220;Energy Efficient Technologies&#8221; knows how to measure and document the energy performance of an object, develop and model an energy consumption management system, create an energy-saving program, secure project financing, and implement the project \u2014 from idea to result.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Practical Training<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Internships and student placements in the program are conducted at leading regional enterprises with which the department has signed cooperation agreements: DMP &#8220;Ivano-Frankivskteplokomunenergo&#8221;, JSC &#8220;Prykarpattiaoblenergo&#8221;, JSC &#8220;DTEK Burshtynska TPP&#8221;, SE &#8220;Ivano-Frankivskstandartmetrologiya&#8221;, KP &#8220;Ivano-Frankivskvodoekotechprom&#8221;, PrJSC &#8220;Ivano-Frankivskcement&#8221;, LLC &#8220;Karpatnaftochim&#8221;. A student may also independently choose a place of practice and provide a letter of endorsement from the enterprise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Forms of Study and Admission Conditions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The program is offered in full-time and part-time formats based on a bachelor&#8217;s degree in electrical engineering, information and measurement technologies, automation, or related specialties.
