At the same time, the department\u2019s staff are now conducting research for the third time as part of projects that have received grants from the National Research Foundation of Ukraine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The foundation of the department&#8217;s research infrastructure is its highly qualified human capital\u2014experts who ensure the synergy of mathematical and physical research methods. Below is a detailed description of the research capabilities of the department&#8217;s leading scientists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Human Capital and Key Research Capabilities<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Prof. Andriy Bandura (Head of the Department, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor)<\/strong>&nbsp;Prof. A. Bandura shapes the department&#8217;s strong expertise in the field of mathematical analysis and function theory. His research capabilities and areas of focus allow for solving fundamental mathematical problems, including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Research on entire and analytic functions (in a ball, polydisc, and in the Cartesian product of the unit disc and the complex plane) with bounded L-index in a direction and in joint variables.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Development of the analytic theory of differential equations.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Study of entire functions of completely regular growth and vector-valued functions.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mathematical modelling in renewable energy and applied mechanics.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Professor Bandura&#8217;s expertise forms a powerful theoretical and mathematical foundation for complex analytical calculations and mathematical modeling.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Prof. Volodymyr Mokliak (Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor)<\/strong>&nbsp;Prof. V. Mokliak significantly expands the department&#8217;s infrastructural capabilities in experimental and theoretical materials physics. His activities integrate university science with the resources of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>As the Head of the Laboratory of Magnetic Films Physics No. 23 at the G. V. Kurdyumov Institute of Metal Physics of the NAS of Ukraine, he provides unique opportunities for researching magnetic structures and their properties.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Deep expertise in solid-state physics and chemistry, particularly surface physics and chemistry. V. Mokliak&#8217;s research opens up prospects for the department to create and test cutting-edge materials (including magnetic films) for the needs of microelectronics and materials science.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Assoc. Prof. Myroslav Mazur (Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Associate Professor)<\/strong>&nbsp;Assoc. Prof. M. Mazur (who also has significant managerial experience as the former Dean of the Faculty of Automation and Energy \/ Institute Director) focuses his research on applied areas critically important for the oil and gas university:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Solid-state physics with an emphasis on the development of energy-efficient technologies.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Creation and testing of materials for renewable energy.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Research on gas hydrates\u2014a strategically important direction for energy security and alternative hydrocarbon sources. This direction ensures a direct connection between fundamental physics and the real needs of Ukraine&#8217;s energy sector.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Assoc. Prof. Tetiana Mazur (Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences \/ PhD, Associate Professor)<\/strong>&nbsp;Assoc. Prof. T. Mazur forms the department&#8217;s scientific base in the fields of semiconductor materials science, nanotechnology, and alternative energy. Her scientific and technical capabilities encompass:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Research on thin semiconductor films, as well as the development of synthesis processes for CdTe (cadmium telluride) and PbTe (lead telluride) single crystals.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Study of point defects, formation, and control of the defect structure in thin films.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Analysis of the optical, electrical, and photoelectric properties of nanosystems. T. Mazur&#8217;s research is highly relevant for the development of solar energy (photovoltaics), optoelectronics, and the design of advanced sensor devices.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Summary<\/strong>&nbsp;The research infrastructure of the Department of Physics and Mathematics at IFNTUOG is a multi-vector ecosystem.
